A flat spring structure for magnetic tape cassettes, in particular video cassettes, which comprises an elastic lamina (1) of elongate conformation which is coupleable at a middle portion thereof with the cover (5) of a cassette and which acts, proximate to its free end (2) on the central pivot (6) of the reels (7) supporting a magnetic tape. The peculiarity of the invention is constituted by the fact that the lamina (1) at the side thereof facing the reels (7), has a concave piecewise conformation with at least one fold line (10) in the portion defined between the free end and the zone of coupling with the cover (5). The fold line (10), with the lamina (1) inserted into the cassette, engages by contact with the cover (5) to define a fulcrum point for elastic oscillation of said lamina (1).

The invention relates to instrumentation, in particular to a technique for storing information on a movable tape carrier.

The flat spring design comprises an elastic plate 1 of elongated shape in the form of a ribbon of constant width which is rounded off at the ends 2.
In the central part of the resilient plate 1 has through holes 3 for connection with the fastening elements 4 to the cassette cover 5.
The plate is inserted into the cassette and is connected to the lid 5, acting on the hinge 6 of the reel 7, which is a-. installed for rotation inside the video cassette container 8.
The resilient plate 1, when viewed from the end, has a configuration of a convex broken line, which is determined by a line (9, 10) of the bend made in the middle part between the free end of the spring and the area where the hole 3 is made for connection with the cover 5.
Under specific conditions of application, it is possible to make the starting line 11, close to the hole 3, at a distance of approximately one sixth of the distance between the hole 3 and the end of the plate in contact with the hinge point 6.
With this plate configuration (see Figs. 3 and 4), when the plate is inserted into the cassette, the bend line 10 is in contact with the inner surface of the cover, the xtero is provided with a fulcrum with a reduced lever arm for elastic plate oscillation.

In addition, in the area of contact with the hinge 6, the plate itself is parallel to the lid 5, thereby creating a force which is directed along the axis of the reel /.
As for the moment diagram, it reaches a maximum point on the inflection line 10 at a value that is significantly less than the maximum moment point of the traditional flat springs, since due to the fact that the acting forces are equal, the lever arm is reduced by half.
In addition, the moment diagram is inverted in the part between the point of contact between the plate and the cover and the hinge area so that a moment with the opposite sign in the hole 3 is obtained.
This fact is very important because, due to a significant reduction in moments balanced by a flat spring, it is possible, with an equal elastic force on the hinge of the reel, to significantly reduce the thickness and width of the plate and significantly reduce the amount of material used to manufacture the plate.
As shown in FIG. 5-9, the flat spring design for tape cassettes, in particular video cassettes, contains an elastic plate 12, which has an elongated shape, the width of which is constant along its entire length. . The plate 12 can be inserted into the video cassette so that its free ends, where the rounded portions 13 are made, act by contact in the hinge 6, the reel 7.
In its middle part, the elastic plate 12 is provided with a through hole 14 of connection with the inner surface of the cover 5 of the video cassette.
The ribs 15 run along the plate, starting from the area where the hole 14 is made, and income to the vicinity of the contact zone with the hinge 6.
Between the zone where the hole 14 is made and the end of contact with the hinge 6, at least one bend 16 is made, so that this plate takes the configuration of a broken line concave on the side facing the reel 6.
